Stratisfied IPA is a recent release which has all the qualities of a non-hazy, West Coast IPA but with different hopping techniques, modern concentrated hop technology, and a newer hop variety. Peter Dahlen, Sebago’s Director of Brewery Operations, explains:

What is knockout FV hopping and how is it different?

Classic kettle hopping is the standard technique for bittering additions. Knockout FV is when we place the hops in empty fermenters before wort is “knocked out” onto it. It’s essentially dry hopping but prior to fermentation. Stratisfied is our only production scale beer that uses this technique.

What is unique about the Crosby CGX hop technology of concentrated hop pellets?

Crosby’s CGX process concentrates the natural flavor and aroma contributing parts of the hop while removing inessential material that can cause unwanted flavors. It allows the brewers to have more control of hop flavors and aromas.

What’s special about the newer hop variety Strata?

Many new hop varieties overlap with their tropical and citrus characteristics, but one of the stand-out aspects of Strata is its intensity and unique combo qualities.
